On August 24th the audience at the Newburport Screening Room had a live interactive conversation with the film maker Ian Thomas Ash  from Japan about his film A2-B-C.  The Screening Room’s new digital projection system allows us to bring film makers to you live.  Join us again for the 2nd showing of the film and afterwards where you can ask the film maker Ian Thomas Ash questions about his film A2-B-C , on Sunday, Sept 7th live from Japan!

Looking forward to seeing great documentary films at this year’s Newburyport Documentary Film Festival?

Get a taste of what you have to look forward to at our encore screenings of a 2013 NDFF official selection A2-B-C by Ian Thomas Ash. This film follows the lingering health impacts of the Fukushima nuclear accident. Screenings will be on Sunday, August 24 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, September 7 at 7:30 PM at The Screening Room,  82 State Street, Newburyport. Tickets are $8. See the trailer here.

There will be a open discussion session after each screening. The moderator for the August 24th screening will be local filmmaker Perry Hallinan, who recently released the documentary Return to Hiroshima: Family Bonds and the Atomic Bomb. Mr. Hallinan was profiled in this August 3rd Boston Globe article.
